AEBIOM press release entitled “Carbon tax – a cure for EU budgets and environment”
The carbon taxation would boost bioenergy sector as all biomass sectors would be exempt of CO2 tax and solid biomass would be exempt even of energy consumption tax. Unfortunately, some Member States are not so keen on introducing such a tax. Therefore, this press release shows that beside environmental advantages, the energy taxation, and in particular the CO2 tax as proposed by the European Commission would have a positive impact on the budgets of the EU member states.
